It’s the Liver?

I just found out the English translation for the yellow/red/orange/greenish in crustaceans: tomalley/tomale. In Chinese, it’s just called 黄, which literally means the color yellow. It is considered a delicacy and has a very unique flavor.

I eat it in shrimp/prawns, crabs, and lobster… But in female crabs, female crabs have something different. They have solid orange thingys… and in male crabs, there are waxy circular thingys… don’t know the official terms for those delicacies either. Hm, anyone know?
