Tiramisu in Martini Glasses

Tiramisu… Mmmmm… in martini glasses. This recipes makes five standard martini glasses.

[100% organic]

  • ⅓ cups of fine brown sugar
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 8 oz. mascarpone cheese
  • ½ cup strong black coffee
  • 36 lady fingers
  • 1¼ cups heavy chilled whipping cream
  • 2 tsp coffee essence (you can use vanilla if you want)
  • 4 TBS white sugar
  • Cocoa powder for dusting
  • Coffee beans for decorating

Whisk the brown sugar and the egg yolks, then add the mascarpone and mix well. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg whites until the mixture forms stiff peaks. Gently fold with the mascarpone mixture.

Mash up the lady fingers and half of the coffee. It should come to a paste that is not too thin and not to thick. Add more coffee as desired. In another bowl, whip the whipping cream together with the coffee essence and the white sugar, and mix with the mascarpone mixture.

Begin by filling your glasses with a layer of the lady fingers paste, followed by the mascarpone mixture, then another layer of paste, and lastly another layer of the mascarpone mixture. Sift a nice, thick layer of cocoa powder over the glasses and decorate with coffee beans.

Note: consuming raw or undercooked animal foods may increase your risk of contracting a food borne illness.

Amazing. I would love to learn how to make Tiramisu. And your presentation is awesome. Too bad I didn’t sample more of your cooking when I was in Austin!
