Sesame Ahi Tuna with Asparagus

Very easy and quick. I had this right before going to my MCAT class!


[100% organic & wild]


  • 1 ahi tuna steak
  • white and black sesame seeds
  • olive oil
  • 3 TBS soy sauce
  • 3 TBS rice vinegar
  • 3 TBS sake
  • 1 TBS brown sugar


  1. Pat dry the tuna
  2. Pour olive oil into a bowl and place sesame seeds inside
  3. Coat the tuna with sesame seeds
  4. Boil water for asparagus; put in boiling water for 1 minute, remove from water and set aside
  5. Heat olive oil in a pan
  6. Sear the tuna steak for 1.5-2 minutes per side
  7. To make the sauce: heat soy sauce, rice vinegar, sake, and brown sugar until sugar dissolves
  8. Pour sauce over sliced steak
