Lamb Cutlets with Mashed Potatoes

I never cooked lamb by myself before August 21, 2008. Personally, I never liked the smell of cooked lamb. There is some kind of unpleasant smell associated with lamb… and no matter what dish I eat or how you cook it, you can’t get rid of that smell.

[100% organic]

  • 12 lamb cutlets
  • Cracked black pepper
  • Sea salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 TBS olive oil
  • 1 TBS shredded lemon zest
  • 1 TBS fresh oregano leaves
  • 2 TBS extra olive oil
  • Mashed potatoes

Trim the excess fat off the cutlets and sprinkle both sides with salt & pepper. Heat a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the oil, lemon zest, and oregano and cook for 30 seconds. Add the lamb cutlets and cook for 3 minutes on each side or until cooked to your liking. Remove and set aside to rest. Serve the lamb cutlets with mashed potatoes that has been drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with sea salt.

  1. Hi Ron,

My Korean husband always told me that if you use garlic when cooking pork, it gets rid of the smell. Perhaps it will work with lamb. Feel free to try this tip and tell us (the readers) whether it worked or not.
